Sustainable Cities & COVID-19: Plans for Action Virtual Conference, July 16, 2020, 1 to 3pm (EDT)

Cities are at the center of today’s most urgent crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic. This lively dialogue focuses on how the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals now taking place in urban places is so vitally important to the global recovery. As has been observed in the past, successful achievement of 65% of the 169 SDG targets will occur in cities, and regions — never has this work been so critical to ensure that we ‘build back better.”  Plans for action include innovations across the world from New York City to Nairobi. Speakers are drawn from non-governmental organizations, grassroots, academia, the United Nations and professions. Globally cities are developing Plans for Action due to COVID-19 to support all people – of every age.
